Out of an abundance of caution, Dollar General is removing from its shelves this morning Pokemon 10 Valentine Cards and Pops and has placed an immediate nationwide stop sale of the product on its registers after a customer reported finding a metal object in one of the product’s candy lollipops last night. The product, supplied by Sherwood Brands of Maryland, was purchased from a store in Lakeland, FL.No injuries have been reported; and, at this time, no additional incidents have been reported.
“Dollar General is very concerned about this discovery and, in light of today’s Valentine’s Day holiday, would like to encourage all customers who may have purchased the Pokemon Valentine Cards and Pops to refrain from consuming it until we know more,” said Richard Dreiling, CEO of Dollar General. “Any customer who has a concern about this product for any reason may return it to our store for a full refund.”
Dreiling also stated that the company is cooperating with the Polk County Sheriff’s department and has asked the supplier, Maryland-based Sherwood Brands, to investigate the incident.
“We will review with the supplier the manufacturing safety protocols that are in place and whether additional measures are needed,” said Dreiling.
As an additional precautionary measure, Dollar General has pulled an additional product supplied by Sherwood Brands, the Dog Artlist Collection Valentine Cards & Pops.

Mike Huckabee just grabbed West Virginia from the grips of Mitt Romney. In a suprise turnout, Huckabee nabs 52% to Romney’s 47%, while the leader, John McCain grabs only 1% of the vote.

Superbowl Sunday is treated by many as a holiday even if your team isn’t in the game it is always an excuse to have friends over. This year’s battle between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants was expected to be the end to the Perfect season and Tom Brady’s 4th Superbowl win. The Patriots were “predicted” to win by 10+ points. By half time the Patriots led 7-3. After half the NY Giants held the Patriots and then drove down the field and took the lead with a Manning TD pass to Tyree with 11 minutes remaining in the 4th to take the lead (7-10). The Patriots were meticulous with the ball as they ate away at the field little by little until Tom Brady was able to connect to Randy Moss to take back the lead with a little more than 2:30 remaining on the clock. The Patriots were a 3 and out from reclaiming the National Championship. However, Eli Manning who until recently was despised in New York, would not go down without a fight as he drove the Giants 83 yards and connecting with Plexico Burress to take what would be the final lead of the game and a NY Giants victory at 17-14.
I for one will admit I am not a gun-ho Giants fan. However, being born in Louisiana, family In Mississippi, I do follow the Mannings and am a Big Eli Manning fan and feel that he often gets over looked. Remember this, the NY Giants is the number one team in the NFL for dropped passes (passes that are considered catchable) and If you review Eli’s footage from the year you can say that 9 of his interceptions were not his fault (caused by receiver knocking the ball back into the air, etc) and 4 others are arguable. With that out of the way, it was the Mississippi boy who reigned victorious over the 18-0 (excuse me 18-1) Patriots.

Now, I must disclaim that I have never played any of the previous Devil May Cry titles. That being said, I have thoroughly enjoyed this demo available on XBox Live. After doing my research, apparently Dante is not playable in this demo, but is available later on in the game.The demo also gives a disclaimer that this demo is a trial, and that certain aspects may change before its release. The main character’s name is Nero, the graphics, although beautiful, are not groundbreaking, it is very dark, and not as detailed as other 360 titles that I have played through. The game moves slowly when not involved in battles or fights. The camera angles really bother me, there is no apparent way to change the view like you would be able to in most titles (ie. Silent Hill, Resident Evil). Furthermore, when in battle the controls are a little bit difficult to get use to, but it ends of being very easy to defeat your opponents.The first mode I attempted was quite easy, while mode 2 was a tad more difficult, I perished and the sword of Barial, but it still was not that hard of a fight. It’s a very fun title, and as long as it is a fairly long game, I would definitely recommend this as a purchase, but check it out for yourself. It is currently in the New Arrivals section of game demos in the X Box Live Marketplace

Saw V and VI?
That’s right folks, this October there will be yet another installment in the Saw series. So what could it be this time, I thought they killed jigsaw…that’s right they killed him in 3 and the same story was told in 4 so what should we expect from 5? Well, we will see the return of Agent Strahm, you know the replacement for Amanda, and Tobin Bell has also signed back on for this one as well. Honestly where would saw be without that man. This time the film will be directed by David Hackl who has been designing Jigsaw’s traps since Saw 2. As far as the plot summary is concerned all I have been able to dig up is that an investigative journalist stumbles into Jigsaw’s game while on assignment. So who else joins the cast for this one? Right now in addition to Tobin Bell as Jigsaw and Scott Patterson’s return as Agent Strahm, only one other name is on the cast list, Costas Mandylor also returns to the franchise as Hoffman. The release date has been set for October 24, 2008. Don’t worry we’ll Keep you posted on this one. OH and just an FYI, there are talks of shooting Saw VI as well which will also be directed by David Hackl.
Saw the videogame:
Yes you read it correctly, in addition to yet another movie (excuse me 2 movies) being added to the franchise, Saw will be hitting the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and your PC in 2009. I know I couldn’t believe it myself. Brash Entertainment officially announced on Wednesday that Saw will arrive on “next-gen platforms” alongside the next installment in the film franchise in October 2009. I told you they were planing on Saw VI! The details on Saw have yet to be pieced together (sorry just couldn’t resit the pun), but Brash says it will be collaborating closely with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures on the game. While it will tie in to the Saw universe, the game will have its own storyline that will attempt to fill in some of the backstory of film antagonist Jigsaw, as well as clear up some of the unanswered questions left by previous installments in the film series. Brash has licensed Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 for Saw, though a developer has yet to be named for the project. Updates on Saw can be found on the game’s Web site, which also launched Wednesday. IMDB’s synopsis of the game gives the impression of at least 2 game modes. 1) Play as Jigsaw as you stalk and watch peoples problems and issues they have with there lives. Then create a trap that you think is the best way for them to cherish there life. Watch as they pass or fail your test. 2)Play as a Pawn on Jigsaw’s gruesome chess board. As you are thrown in a life or death situation. You must complete 15 tests before facing your final challenge, Jigsaw Himself. More to come on this as well.
