Tainted head of the department of justice of the united states, Alberto Gonzales is set to anounce his resignation from his position as of today August 27, 2007. Good Times…

Hotly criticized over his constant lies, denials, lies, denials, glimpses of the truth, concerning the firing of US attorneys to the Congress through multiple hearing, apparently he saw that it was in his best interest to resign from his postition.

And I for one… am thankful.

Superbad!- sorry, a little late—but I had to work!

24. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 0 Kommentare »

It seems like all of these “Teen Movies” or Youth Comedies that have come out over the past 8 years have been missing something, and it appears that Superbad has found it, and it’s name is McLovin.

Superbad is a psuedo-heart warming story of two “nerdy” best friends who have been there for each other for their entire lives, and their last days together, and their many failed attempts to lose their virginity, and become veterans in the art of love making before they go off to college.

The movie starts to feel like other teen movies, but it has what the others lack, a true understanding of youth and real humor. They use the same formula of the outsider character from movies like Road Trip, but actually develop the character into a supreme hilarious legendary character named “McLovin” or Fogel.

Both characters, Seth and Evan, are both easily identifiable, and it feels like they are both real people, or at least based on real people.
But what makes this movie so hilarious, is how they (Seth, Evan, and Fogel) talk to the girls they are trying to hook up with. They all appear to be very nervous when they are talking to their women, respectfully, and always seem to fail miserably, but it comes off as sweet failure, rather than embarassing failure, where you feel bad for them. But it comes off as accurate as opposed to making fun of the characters, and the girls that laughed at these scenes seem to have had this happen to them, so most everyone is able to relate to this movie.

The other hilarious theme of this movie was the relationship between Seth and Evan, and the fact that they basically will never see each other again, and their true fear of life without each other. But what was so hilarious is about is the way they deal with it, such as Seth’s jealousy of Evan going off to school with Fogel.

Also, when you go see this movie, make sure to pay complete attention to the police offers, because EVERYTHING they say is completely 100% hilarious.

This movie has the same feel of movies like Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Can’t Hardly Wait, Road Trip, Friday, and many others, but it is ten times better than most of them, and way more hilarious.

If you have a free night, go see this movie, you won’t be disappointed, but don’t like ditch your friends, or skip out on work, because it is not life changing, but it’s definately a hilarious movie that you don’t want to miss out on, because there will be plenty of pop culture references to this one for years to come.

The movie is very vulgar, but it’s only profanity, so expect to get carded.

Beautiful Katamari Demo: Hands on

22. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 32 Kommentare »

The Prince is back, and no I don’t mean that crazy musician with the funny symbol for a name. Beautiful Katamari looks to be as entertaining if not more so than the original for the PS2. For 360 fans who are all about the graphics, well this one dose not focus on realistic images, sorry. The people, animals, and objects are all boxy but I promise that it takes nothing away from the game. Beautiful Katamari brings back our Prince and the King of the Cosmos for more katamari rolling action. The game control is identical to that of its PS2 predecessor and you won’t be using anything other than the left and right joysticks for control. The color is even more bright and brilliant on the 360 and there have been new object additions. So what should you look for in the demo? Other than the King of the Cosmos mocking you for playing the demo, it depends on your start point, and it will change on you. One thing that I noticed in the brief exploration is that the kids on the island in the pond are sitting in front of a couple TVs and a stack or XBox 360s as well as a set of controllers…Yes rub it in XBox. Also to get a good start and a larger katamari if you start on the side walk near the little shops roll up the ramp and pick up all the small items for a quick start. Beautiful Katamari is set to be released this fall.

The Top 10 Albums of the week…

22. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 3 Kommentare »

I can’t believe this, I’m living in a nightmare….

Billboard’s Top 10 This week reads as…
1-The High School Musical 2 Soundtrack
2-The Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Soundtrack
3-Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds “Live at Radio City”
4-The Now 25 Compilation
5-The Hairspray Soundtrack
6-UGK-Underground Kingz
7-Fergie “Dutchess”
8-The Jonas Brothers “The Jonas Brothers”
9-Plies “Real Testament”
10-Common “Finding Forever”

This is horrifying and needs to change as soon as possible…
In fact, here are some suggested new releases…
“After The Rain”-Muddy Waters
“15 Years on Death Row”-Various
“Amaranth”-Nightwish
“An Ocean Between Us”-As I Lay Dying
“Angry Mob”-Kaiser Chiefs
“Clockwork Gray”-Blaze ya Dead Homie
Here is a list over at Billboard of new albums out that you could buy instead of letting High School Musical top the music charts, so do it.

New Releases

My Point is that there are so many new releases every week, and if you have a job, or some extra money, go buy an album, it won’t hurt anybody, and if you like music then you should realize that sales translates into better music getting released, thanks!

Just do me one favor, buy “Graduation” on September 11, Do it for the kids…

The CIA has a Facebook Profile?

21. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 42 Kommentare »

Well, not really… but they are creating a Social Networking site.

The Central Intelligence Agency is creating a social networking site for it’s members to communicate on projects, issues, and just getting to know each other. :) Another use of this is to get members to analyse issues.

Participation in “A-Space” (Yes, A-Space, as it is being called now) will be voluntary so undercover agents shouldn’t fear their cover being blown.
The model for A-Space was built on the same model as Facebook, and early this year, the CIA advertised for employment on the Facebook.

I can’t wait for the hacking news…

Amex Titanium: For Rediculous Financial Needs

21. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 0 Kommentare »

“Oh my God, is that a Black Card?’ I turned around and replied, why yes but I prefer the term African American Express”Kanye West, “Last Call”

Urban legends of a special, black-colored card offering dignitaries and celebrities unlimited spending power and after-hours access to high-end stores circulated in the 1980s. While the rumors were false, in October 1999 American Express decided to capitalize on them by launching the Centurion Card, and made the card available to selected holders of its Platinum Card®. The Centurion Card originally had an annual fee of $1,000. The rumor of an unlimited spending card originated because certain high-spending card members were given a black information card that, while not a charge or credit card, contained important telephone numbers, such as numbers for American Express Travel and Concierge services.

The American Express “Black” card has been urban legend for years, and many still do not even know of it’s existence. However, it was due to the rumors that AMEX created the “Black” card for the wealthy. With platinum cards now being used by the everyday man the social elite needed a card of their own. Previous known Black Card holders included Sean “P-Diddy” Combs, Jay-Z, and Naomi Campbell.

So what’s all the commotion about? Other than the company never publicly announced how many Black Cards were in circulation, it was estimated that only roughly 5,000 people in the U.S. had them. So how do you get one? AMEX Black is by invitation only, either they offer it to you or they don’t. Well, hate to break it to you, but unless your able to consistintly spend $250,000 a year on your current AMEX card or cards (NOTE: I said spend, not carry over balance, financial charges, or late fees) you will probably never own the Black Card.

So why then is it so special. Other than a hefty $2,500 annual fee, a $5,000 one time joining fee, and requires the card holders to charge more than $250,000 a year. Unlike most credit cards, this one is not plastic, that’s right folks, good luck getting through the metal detectors at the airport. The AMEX Black other than being a symbol of the social elite (and materialism), offers a personal concierge and travel agent. The card also includes hotel and flight upgrades. Oh and if your traveling to Europe, don’t worry about taking your cell phone, AMEX will provide you with a loaner. Additional benefits include, but not limited to: complementary companion airline tickets on International flights on selected airlines with the purchase of a full fare ticket, personal shoppers at retailers such as Escada, Gucci and Saks Fifth Avenue, access to airport clubs, first class flight upgrades, membership in Sony’s Cierge personal shopping program, and dozens of other elite club memberships. Hotel benefits include a free one-night stay in every Mandarin Oriental hotel worldwide once a year (except for the New York City property), and privileges at hotel chains like Ritz-Carlton, Leading Hotels of the World, and Amanresorts. The card has recently added new amenities, including access into the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold, as well as US Airways Platinum Preferred status as of June 1, 2007. As of August 14, 2007, American Airlines Elite Status as well as Admirals Club access was added to the long list of amenities.

So what’s the limit? well contrary to popular belief, there are limits. American Express Titanium customers have been known to purchase Bentley automobiles with just a swipe of the card. Amex Black holders have also made purchases well in excess of $1 million USD without even a credit check. The popular myth is that the card has no limit; the largest purchase supposedly ever made on it exceeded $30 million–for a private jet. However, the Black Card does have limits, but these limits are not pre-set at a certain level. Like any other American Express charge card, the limits are based on the spending history of card holder, as well as their personal credit profile and financial resources. A card holder spending $250,000 in the previous year could not just purchase a jet with a swipe of their card unless he or she had the resources to make good on the transaction. Each year spending habits are reviewed by the credit department in order to determine the spending limit for the next year. The limit can be increased after providing new financial data.

Superbad Wins the Weekend Boxoffice

19. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 47 Kommentare »

With Summer you can always expect major studios to release those movies that you will be talking about for months and years to come and with summer winding down as schools start back up is there room for one more on that list? The weekend box office numbers say yes. Superbad is superbad-ass as it takes the number one spot grossing $31.2 million beating out the number 2 spot (Rush Hour 3) by nearly $10 million. Comedies, especially ones that are rated-R, typically have to be pretty damn good to win out in the box office. Well I will be seing this movie on Thursday and I will provide an in depth review on all that is Superbad.

Happy 25th Birthday Compact Discs

19. August 2007 Kategorie Uncategorized | 39 Kommentare »

the date was August 17, 1982, and row upon row of palm-sized plates began rolling off an assembly line near Hanover, Germany. Friday these engineering marvels turned 25. However, as we enter the age of Ipods and mp3 players the future of CDs is looking bleak.

Those first CDs contained Richard Strauss’ Alpine Symphony and would sound equally sharp if played today, says Holland’s Royal Philips Electronics NV, which jointly developed the CD with Sony Corp. of Japan.

CDs hit their prime in the 90s as people rushed out to replace their LPs and cassette tapes with high quality and consistent playing CDs.

You can read more on the birth of the CD at CNN
