It seems like all of these “Teen Movies” or Youth Comedies that have come out over the past 8 years have been missing something, and it appears that Superbad has found it, and it’s name is McLovin.

Superbad is a psuedo-heart warming story of two “nerdy” best friends who have been there for each other for their entire lives, and their last days together, and their many failed attempts to lose their virginity, and become veterans in the art of love making before they go off to college.
The movie starts to feel like other teen movies, but it has what the others lack, a true understanding of youth and real humor. They use the same formula of the outsider character from movies like Road Trip, but actually develop the character into a supreme hilarious legendary character named “McLovin” or Fogel.
Both characters, Seth and Evan, are both easily identifiable, and it feels like they are both real people, or at least based on real people.
But what makes this movie so hilarious, is how they (Seth, Evan, and Fogel) talk to the girls they are trying to hook up with. They all appear to be very nervous when they are talking to their women, respectfully, and always seem to fail miserably, but it comes off as sweet failure, rather than embarassing failure, where you feel bad for them. But it comes off as accurate as opposed to making fun of the characters, and the girls that laughed at these scenes seem to have had this happen to them, so most everyone is able to relate to this movie.
The other hilarious theme of this movie was the relationship between Seth and Evan, and the fact that they basically will never see each other again, and their true fear of life without each other. But what was so hilarious is about is the way they deal with it, such as Seth’s jealousy of Evan going off to school with Fogel.
Also, when you go see this movie, make sure to pay complete attention to the police offers, because EVERYTHING they say is completely 100% hilarious.
This movie has the same feel of movies like Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Can’t Hardly Wait, Road Trip, Friday, and many others, but it is ten times better than most of them, and way more hilarious.
If you have a free night, go see this movie, you won’t be disappointed, but don’t like ditch your friends, or skip out on work, because it is not life changing, but it’s definately a hilarious movie that you don’t want to miss out on, because there will be plenty of pop culture references to this one for years to come.
The movie is very vulgar, but it’s only profanity, so expect to get carded.
