The Dark Knight

Superhero Hype! reports that they have learned from a very reliable source that Warner Bros Pictures is indeed planning on presenting Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight at Wizard World Chicago, taking place August 9-12. There’s been some rumors that the studio had pulled out of the event, but that’s not true.

We can also confirm that they are not planning on showing the teaser trailer during the Warner Bros. panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday from 10:30-12:30.

With the Batman Begins sequel sill not to be released for another entire year (July 18, 2008) there is a lot of marketing to be done. However with their viral sites (whysoserious.com, ibelieveinharveydent.com, and ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com) and hell just the Franchise name I would find it hard to believe that this movie won’t be one of next summers blockbusters right alongside Iron Man which will have come and if not yet gone be headed out the door by the time The Dark Knight is released. I rarely get excited enough for a midnight showing but for Batman, I’ll be there.
